About UXPA 2024…

Concerned about the message your attendance at UXPA 2024 might send regarding Florida’s policies and legislation against bodily autonomy, healthcare, and LGBTQ+ rights? Join me in donating to Planned Parenthood of South, East, and North Florida, an organization working locally to provide comprehensive sexual health care, and The Trevor Project, an organization working nationally and internationally to end suicide among LGBTQ+ young people.

  • I just didn’t feel good about spending money in Florida, so I thought I’d try to make up for it by donating some money.

    I thought some others might feel the same way, and it was easy enough to set up this option so we could see the power of our collective contributions.

  • Truly, I could have chosen many many worthwhile organizations for this effort. These two cover most (but definitely not all) of the worst issues currently in play in Florida. My goals were:

    * to keep as much support as possible local to the conference site (thus PPSENF)

    * to support as much positive effort as possible on as many fronts as feasible (thus more than one charity)

    * to concentrate that support as much as possible to make the most impact (thus only 2 charities)

    While The Trevor Project does not seem to have a local chapter, the national organization made it incredibly easy to set up the fundraiser. It’s a literal case of increased conversion because of their efforts to make things easy for their end user, and I feel good about supporting that, too.

    Donations are solely and directly between the individual donors and the organizations. DGCooley & Co. gets no financial benefit and does not take any cut from these donations.
